Can you feel the energy?
Everywhere I look and everyone I speak to is telling me
that something is in the air! And I
believe that 2009 is truly "A Year of
Abundance". Let me
explain! At the end of 2008 I made
some serious decisions about where I wanted to
be at the end of 2009. After putting my
top goals into writing and deciding that I
would work with some incredible coaches and teachers
this year, I also gave my year a "theme"-A Year of
Abundance. I chose that theme because through all
of my studying and training I have learned that
we have the ability to create an abundant life
or a life of lack. It is a choice. And
when I really "got that" at a core level,
everything shifted for me. And
now I am living that Year of
Abundance! The year
kicked off for me in
Napa with my dear friend Michelle who I
met five years ago at the NLP Institute of
California. We spent the weekend catching up and
also "masterminding" some incredible
ways to expand our businesses this year to help more
people and increase our financial
wealth. Since Michelle is in the wine
industry, we also got to "play" and did
some wine tasting at high end wineries including
a private tour at Cakebread. It
was an awesome way to kick off the year and Tim (my
husband) and I are planning another trip to Napa to
celebrate my birthday (and Michelle's) in April!
I also held my last ever public
("small") 3-Day Selling with Intention Intensive because
we are planning one BIG event later
this year! I hope you will be able to join us for
this business and life changing event! Stay
tuned! I don't know about
you, but abundance to me is just not about money.
A "Year of Abundance" for me means an abundance in all
areas of my life: spiritual, health, family, friends,
love, peace, freedom and wealth. I hope that you
join me in this "Year of Abundance" because it is for
all of us.... May 2009 be your most
abundant year yet!

3 Ways a Mastermind Group Can
Grow Your Business!
Doesn't it seem like lately
everyone is talking about Mastermind
Groups? A few years ago I knew nothing
about "Masterminding" or what a Mastermind Group even
was. Napoleon Hill, author of the
classic "Think and Grow Rich" created the idea
of the Mastermind Group in the early
1900's. He wrote, "The coordination of
knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work
toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of
harmony." And then he added, "No two minds ever
come together without thereby creating a third,
invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a
third mind." After reading and
studying his material, I realized that I just HAD to
find a Mastermind group that I could join.
And then one showed
up. I was fortunate enough
to meet Dr. Gordon A. Ray, author of
Escalator to the High Life Zone and fellow
Mastermind Member. Dr. Ray invited me to join
the Mastermind Group that he created a
few years ago. The timing was perfect and
I said YES immediately. There were only
two other members, but with the four of us, we were able
to share ideas and give each
other incredible support to move our businesses
and lives to the next level. And that's exactly
what happened. There are
many ways to get involved with a Mastermind
Group. Some are free, some are a low investment
and others can be a significant-even six or seven
figure-investment (yes, you read that correctly).
This year I decided that in addition to the free or low
cost Mastermind Groups that I was involved with,
I also wanted to invest in a Mastermind
Group that I knew could help me Quantum
Leap to the next level.
And then one showed
up. I'm not kidding! I was just
accepted into Christine Kloser's Mastermind
Group and will be focusing on making
significant leaps in my sales and business this
year. And you know what the best news is?
Everything that I learn will overflow to all of my
clients. Not only through what I am teaching and
how I am growing, but also how I am thinking, acting and
growing my own business. In other words, I am taking you
all with me! This is our collective Year
of Abundance! It is the reason
I felt the calling to create my own Mastermind
Group for my clients. It is also the
reason I founded www.salescoachnow.com which is
what I consider a low cost option to
participate in a virtual Mastermind Group that is also
designed to help you Quantum Leap this
year! And if you don't join a Mastermind
group, you can always create your own by getting
a small group of trusted professionals
together to share ideas and support one
another. In my experience, there are three
main ways that a Mastermind Group can help you
grow your business:

Accountability
Let me
explain... Support
Guess what? You can't reach your
goals in isolation. You can't do it alone. I
know, I've tried! I tend to like to work alone and
in the past I forgot the power of having the support of
others to encourage you and to share ideas with.
There is nothing more important than having support in
those moments when you ask yourself, "Why am I even
doing this?". The members in my Mastermind
Groups have truly been the people who have kept me going
and who helped me remember to stay on my path when I had
lost my way.
Accountability
In addition to not being able to (or wanting
to!) do it alone, you need others to help you stay
accountable. One of the main reasons that I knew I
needed to invest heavily (financially) this year is
because I knew that would make me even MORE committed to
reaching my goals this year. What was amazing to
me was that just paying the money made me take a giant
step forward. I quickly let go of several services in my
business that I knew were holding me back from going to
the next level. I am TEN times more
accountable now than I was even a month ago. For
me, it made THAT BIG of a difference!
Quantum Leap If you
are truly serious about making a Quantum Leap in your
sales this year, then a Mastermind Group is
critical. I also recommend that if you are really
stretching, then investing in a Mastermind Group can
help you feel even more committed. I have found that
when I invest in a Mastermind Group rather than
participating for free, I automatically take it more
seriously and stay more focused. We all know that
when we have money on the line, we tend to be more
committed. And significantly increasing your sales
takes commitment, training and personal growth. I tell
all of my clients that when they get better, so do their
clients. Action Item:
Decide that you WILL be part of a Mastermind Group
this year. Either search one out that you can
invest in or start your own. Put a date on your
calendar when you will take that next step. I promise
you that it will make an incredible difference in your
business...and in your life! "All the
