I began investing in Real Estate at the age of 23.  I later became a licensed REALTOR in California.  I saw so many credit reports of business owners that had so many additional inquiries, balances, etc over the average person and I just believed that since a corporation is a separate entity, it should be able to have its own credit report as well.  I began to pray about this, asking God for answers to this situation.  Shortly thereafter, I met a man who owned a company and he was in the process of getting a Federal Patent on a 28-Step System he had developed for separating personal credit from business credit.   We arranged an exclusive contract to market the system and he would provide all of the customer service and Access Business Credit was born www.MyCorpCredit.com .  Access Business Credit is a division of our parent company Strategic Capital Management Group, Inc, where we also have Real Estate Investment and Foreclosure Training Programs  through Affordable Property Development, LLC www.YourAPD.com    Personal credit Repair Services are also available 866.588.6946 (Toll-Free & Fax).  

One of the biggest obstacles I have had to overcome in the Business Credit Services division is the lack of information and understanding people have about business credit.  Business Credit is not built on its own like personal credit was once you turned 18 years old and had your social security number.  Business Credit profiles must be formed through very specific actions on the part of the business owner.  Otherwise, the business owner will be asked to guarantee the business loan in every situation.  Many business owners incorporated in the first place to limit their liability and separate their business from their personal lives.  As soon as they sign a personal guarantee for a business loan, no matter how large or small, they are no longer separate and the business owner has just resumed the full liability.  This will not change with every loan, but there are thousands of loans, lines of credit and leases out there  for business owners who have completed our 28-step process to build a separate business credit profile.  Another big challenge is educating business owners on the pitfalls they can unwittingly open themselves up to by speaking with Dun & Bradstreet.  We advise all of our clients to keep in mind that Dun & Bradstreet is a for-profit corporation whose allegiance lies with the Credit Bureaus, not the business owners they market their services to. 

If I could do one thing different in business what would it be?  I would have maintained more balance with my life early on.  It is so easy to get caught up in everything that "needs" to be done and not realize how many hours you spend being the one doing it all.  At the end of the day, you only have what is really real in life and that is your relationships and your family.   No amount of money can replace family and if it isn't there anymore, nothing you ever do in business will even matter.

What's stopping you?

 

That's right, what's stopping you from reaching your goals this year?  If you've already achieved your goals, congratulations!  If not, don't beat yourself up, just read on!

 

I often ask my clients that question, "What's stopping you?" and many times they have many answers!  One of the most common answers is, "Well, I'm just been so busy I haven't had time to get to it".  What?  Isn't this your BIG GOAL?  The one that you committed to yourself that you were going to achieve THIS YEAR?

 

Sometimes you need to assess and make sure that you still WANT to achieve the goal or goals that you set at the beginning of the year.  Our goals change, and that's okay, we just have to remember to take them off our list.  If you do still want to achieve your goal then you have to make a decision.

 

You must decide that this goal or goals will be a PRIORITY every single day!  Tell yourself that it will be the first thing you work on every day because you are still fresh and thinking clearly!  The other tasks and "busyness" can wait!  Focus on the top 20% of your activities that will lead you to your goal.  If you do this every single day, you will get there!

 

Action:

  1. Assess your goals for the year.  Are you on track? 
  2. What are the top 20% of activities that you need to do each day to reach your goal or goals?  Make a list.  Write those action items in your day timer and commit to yourself that you will work on them every single day!

 Many of my clients are on track with their goals this year or have already over achieved them.  Why? Because they are committed and they made a choice at the beginning of the year that this was the year they were going to say YES to themselves!

I'd like to quote a song which, Bloody Mary, that feisty, shrewd native Tonkinese woman from Bali Hai sang in the musical,
"South Pacific" (1958, Oscar Hammerstein).
 

Happy talk, keep talkin' happy talk,

Talk about things you like to do,

You got to have a dream,

If you don't have a dream,

How you gonna have a dream come true?

 

I've always had a place in my heart for that song.  As my daughters were growing up I encouraged them to dream. Happy Talk was on my song list of children's songs to sing at bedtime and on road trips.  Although the lyrics are simple, there is world of truth in those words and catchy tune.

 

I believe in dreams. I think about my dreams and I talk about my dreams.  I can see myself in my dreams.  Thinking, talking and seeing is only part of what needs to be done in order for your dreams to come true.  You must also believe in your dreams.  Write them down; post them at your desk, your bathroom mirror, on the refrigerator door. Everywhere!  Once your dream comes true, dream some more! Never give up your dreams!

 

Building a business is one-part business know-how and one-part dreams.  Dreams give you an edge....a willpower to achieve more.  Dreams give you the willpower to achieve greatness. 

 

In closing, the key to business growth.......Dream!

    Last month when I addressed the absolutely crucial issue of what determines the quality, content, direction, achievements and destiny of the lives of human beings I stated that - despite the confusing, often conflicting theories of philosophers, theologians, sociologists and other contemplators of human life and conditions - a life of abundance is not achieved through a conglomeration of confusing and conflicting theories - but by a simple, understandable and workable formula.  Y/N = LQ! 

   Why does one person who lives in a decadent, deprived, corrupted ghetto become involved in a life of crime, violence and depravity and the person who lives right next door, theoretically in the very same environment become an exemplary, successful, fulfilled, moral, inspirational and positively influential human being.  The answer is the way they apply the Magical Life Determining Formula Y/N = LQ. 

   Here is the definition of the Life Creating/Defining Formula.  The quality, content, direction, achievements and destiny of every human being's life is determined by what  they say "YES" to and "NO" to.  The successful, exemplary ghetto person said "YES" to that  which made him to become successful and inspirational.  His decadent neighbor said "YES" to that which made him to become corrupted, depraved and violent.  The Successful person said "NO" to the choices of his Degenerate neighbor and his degenerate neighbor said "NO" to the choices his successful neighbor made.  The total differences in the destiny of their  lives was the result of the application of the ULTIMATE LIFE FORMULA: Y/N = LQ.

   And, it is no different with you.  You can absolutely, IMMEDIATELY, and magically transform, and recreate your life in any area or aspect of it even as you read these words.  Just make a definite decision to say "YES" right now to some Life Empowering, Creative thoughts, attitudes, actions, values, etc. that you have been saying "NO" to and say " NO" to some Life Limiting, destructive, thoughts, attitudes, actions and values that you have been saying "YES" to and your life will be miraculously and instantly changed! 

   Brief illustrations:  Say "NO" to destructive relationships with negative low vision life style people which influence you toward that which is weak within you and moves you toward the base and degrading rather than toward the noble and higher.  Say "NO" to every negative, limiting thought which comes into your consciousness - every thought of inferiority, insecurity, failure, doubt, fear, inadequacy, hatred, resentment, poverty, limitation, lack and impossibility.  Say "YES" to every inspirational, empowering Relationship and Thought!  Say "YES" to joy!  Life is a Singing not a hand wringing. It is a promise not a threat - all things ultimately work together for your good.   

   Millions of couples need to say "NO" to those attitudes which cripple, produce tension, conflict and unhappiness in their relationship.  In your relationship say: "YES" to tenderness, support, understanding, appreciation and love.
