Success Stories
I have been in the real estate industry for over 30 years
and was the owner of Corona mortgage for 20 of those years,
selling the business in March of 2007. When I bought Corona
Mortgage in the early 90's, the market was very much like it
is today! Most of the press surrounding the real estate
market was negative. Mortgage companies were closing, but I
looked at this as a great opportunity for me. I
was innovative because I had to survive. I was able to
maintain my momentum thanks to my involvement in the
community, networking groups and personal coaching I also
surrounded myself with people who were headed in the same
direction I wanted to go. Once I sold Corona
Mortgage I was free to start doing what I enjoy most....
decorating. The saying goes, "if you do what you love for a
living, you never work a day in your life". I am living proof
of this! I figured out a way to marry my real estate past with
my flair for decorating, and I call it "Staging". Once again,
I am using the market to my advantage, giving birth to another
innovative company destined to succeed. Staging
is great because the results benefit everyone. Once we stage a
house for sale, the house sells very quickly, pleasing the
sellers and agents. We also stage for people who aren't
selling. We call this stage-to-live or re-style. We use their
existing furnishings to transform their space, leaving their
home looking like a model. We have had such a great response
to this service and are often told it is "life changing!" Our
work is very visual, and since most of us are so affected by
our surroundings, it's no wonder making it look better is so
"life changing". When we complete a project we often get hugs
from our clients. It is not unusual to get a phone call from
clients telling us how happy they are. What an amazing
gift to be able to give.

Today the newspaper, news, and radio all
say the same thing... we are in a "bad" economy. Well we say
"no way". The economy of our business is in our minds
and we are growing!!
How can that be? And what is the answer to be in a
growing economy?
First, don't wait for the phone to ring. Get out and
tell others what you want and how, together, you can achieve
greatness.
Second, create dynamic partnerships with business
owners and help each other grow.
Lastly, we did it by creating a need (we needed event
planners to launch our catering services), told others what we
wanted, and created promotions that targeted clients who need
event planners.
So where are we now? Growing in the
catering arena faster than we could ever imagine and in ways
that some would say is "miraculous." It is all in the
mind and our mind is on "intentional growth."

The response to the March newsletter
was overwhelming-thank you for all of your
comments! The frustration with negative thinking
about the economy seems to be very high. The great
news is that many of you are doing really well as
evidenced by our new section below: Sales Success
Stories. A special thank you to our contributors
this month!
I am personally going to challenge all
of us to continue to spread only positive words and
thoughts about the economy. Now, that is not to
say that people are not struggling out there. But
instead of just sympathizing with people, sit down with
them and brainstorm on some areas that they might be
overlooking in their business that could yield excellent
results. Encourage them to focus on new
opportunities or changes they can make rather than what
isn't working. By putting our energy there, we can
all begin to move toward abundance.
On March 11th, MSNBC.Com released the
following, (as seen in the Express Personnel Services
newsletter), "According to Anderson Forecast, a
quarterly economic report released by the University of
California at Los Angeles, the economy is expected
to avoid a recession amidst a struggling housing market
and higher gas prices. The forecast anticipates the job
market to continue to slow in 2008, with the
unemployment rate rising to 5.5% by the end of the year.
The report also expects the economy to post a gross
domestic product (GDP) growth gain of around 1.5%,
rising to about 3% in 2009. The GDP was 2.2% in
2007."
In response to that article, Palbinder
Badesha, Owner of Express Personnel Services in Corona
reminds us, "Don't let fear prevent you from growing and
developing your business! This is the time to examine
and control your overhead, ensure that you are getting
the maximum return on your investment from your
employees and pursue sales aggressively. This is a great
year to differentiate yourself from your competition -
when things improve you will be ideally placed to grab
all that new business!"
Inspired
Action: 1. Decide, right now, that
you are going to stop speaking about the economy in
negative terms and instead speak about all of the great
things that are happening.
2. Decide that you are only going to share
success stories with your friends, family and business
colleagues rather than dwell on what might not be
working. 3. Forward this newsletter to someone
you know who really needs to read it.
Open yourself up to all of the great
opportunities that are around you! Release your
negative thoughts and decide that this is truly going to
be your best year of business yet. Why
not?

Inspired
Marsh Engle
"I'm clear about one thing, something must
change." These words ran through my mind as a
continuous mantra as I faced the avalanche of challenges
that had become my constant companion. It was
1999. My mom had just died unexpectedly.
Shortly thereafter, I received word from my doctor that
my bout with fatigue was much more than simply being
overly tired or stressed. It was the signs of a
much more serious health issue - one that threatened my
life. Then, my father died. Indeed, something had
to give. My years of stressing and
striving for success as an entertainment executive had
caught up with me. Unhealthy standards of
performance. Late nights. Long hours.
Poor diet. Little exercise. It was all part
of it. But, now I was forced to refocus, re
prioritize, and re frame my relationship with
success. Until that moment, I believed
there was surely only one approach to success. But
now it was clear that the existing definition was not
working. Sure the financial rewards were there;
but, where was the balance? I set my sights
towards reinventing my connection with life. But,
where was I to begin? After all, I'd spent 40 odd
years doing it the other way. I was now looking
for a new slant on my style of success - one that
allowed more ease and loads more enjoyment.
Over the next decade I immersed myself in the world
of the amazing woman. Since that time I've gained
the opportunity to sit with hundreds of feminine leaders
from all walks of life. I became inspired by what
I witnessed through their actions and their
attitudes. I made time for an inner journey to
explore what really mattered most to me. And,
committed to re-define my sense of Self-value. As
a result, my approach to life - and to success -
changed. The essential elements of this new
creative flow became my roadmap: a solid clarity
of intention. An eye toward fresh, new
possibilities each moment. A deepened level
of esteem that allows spontaneous response to
opportunity. Tireless enthusiasm spiced with a
real sense of wonder. What I call this new
approach is 'Empowered Success'.
Through Empowered Success I found the path
to less stress and more creative ease. After all,
I'd often heard that it's all about the journey not the
destination. Now I was learning what it meant to
walk the talk of those words. With the discovery
of Empowered Success, I discovered that work really
could be great fun! But, best of all, I found that I
could enjoy a more bold, outrageous and authentic
expression in every area of life: career,
relationships, health and more! How can you
discover the essentials to unleashing empowered success
in your life? Here's a few of the steps.
Experiment and let me know what happens!
1. Be willing to grow
beyond the defined: Each moment we may
choose to ignite a fresh new view of life and move
beyond our set and familiar ways. At times this
may stretch us outside of our comfort zone. And,
that can be a good thing! Simply create a
habit of asking yourself: Am I defining
myself in a way that may be limiting or
diminishing? What way do I choose to see
myself in this moment?
2. Look to discover
the yes in all things: I came to see that
the way I describe my every experience deeply impacts
the way in which I see the next moment. Ask
yourself: How am I connecting with and telling the
story of this experience? Is it from an empowered
point of view?
3. Ignite the
power of possibilities: Focus of
intention equals willingness to receive. It's
through clarity of intention that we open to and unite
with the field of all possibilities. To gain
this clarity, begin with asking yourself: What am
I willing to be? What am I willing to
experience? Allow the answers to surface easily
and guide you.
4. Play with fresh
curiosity: Allow yourself to play
with each experience as though it's new and
unexplored. Pretend that you don't know what
to expect. Be willing to not know all of the
answers. Deepen your skills as a listener.
When we do this, guess what happens? We allow a
natural sense of wonder and passion to
emerge. Our interest in life deepens and so
do our relationships.
5. Collaborate with sheer
trust: Unbounded creative flow lives in
our willingness to trust and act upon our intuitive
callings. Allow your senses to come alive and
direct you to the best match of choice and
action.
6. Bring your
creative brilliance to life! But, here is the
most important essential to remember: When
you are true to yourself, true to others and true to the
life you live, then you are in the sphere of Empowered
Success. And, that a nice place to be.

How to Become a Superstar
in the Game of Life
Dr. Gordon
Ray
How do you
become a SUPERSTAR in an average world? How do
SuperStars differ from the great mass of average
people? Are SuperStars more intelligent, lucky,
talented? These factors may be helpful but they
are not the determining ones. All SuperStars have
some common characteristics - all of which can be
developed. The bottom line is that if you are
willing to develop these same characteristics you too
can become a superstar in the game of
life! What are some of these
characteristics which all SuperStars have in
common? ***THEY ALL HAVE A SUPERSTAR
VISION! All superstars have a huge picture of
what they want to create and be in their life and what
they are capable of achieving! Sadly most people
have a vision and self image that is several sizes
smaller than what they are really capable of - if they
were to play the game in their fullest potential.
Having a small sized vision and image might be great if
you are desirous of losing unwanted weight - but it is
greatly destructive to life achievements. Want to
be a Life SuperStar? Get a huge vision! See
it on the screen of your innerness
daily. ***SUPERSTARS ALL MAKE SUPERSTAR
GAME PREPARATION! Superstardom doesn't just
happen by accident. Michael Jordan the great
basket ball superstar once said: "I practice the basics
and expand and perfect my skills every day"! If
you'll notice in most people's lives and conversations -
EVERYBODY WANTS TO PLAY IN THE SUPERBOWL - but not many
want to show up for practice. That's not the way
it works. To be a winner you have to constantly
LEARN - PRACTICE AND DEVELOP WINNING SKILLS! For
instance attend an enlightening seminar - THEN
consistently practice - practice -
practice! ***SUPERSTARS CONNECT
AND SOCIALIZE WITH SUPERSTARS. If you
continually socialize with the average crowd of people -
most of whom have small or limited vision - you will
soon discover that you become just like them. If
you want to become a Superstar - become a Social
SuperStar socializer. That level of people
connections will be the wind beneath your
wings! ***Want to expand your
SuperStar preparation and experience? Attend
my Seminar on April 17th "Key Pieces In The Puzzle Of
SuperSuccess". 6 Key Principles which will make
your life and success "ELEVATE 2008". For
information and reservation - see my
website: www.agordonray.com Attend one of Ursula's seminars!
They will assist your life in preparation to play and
win in the SUPERBOWL GAME OF
LIFE!!!!

Get in the habit of finishing the job.
A lot of us think that cooking the meal is the
task and then we go off and do our thing. But cooking
the meal also involves planning the meal, shopping
for the meal, cooking the meal, putting the away the
leftovers, loading the dishwasher with the dirty dishes,
and then putting away the clean dishes. That is the
whole job. If we only do part of the job, then the rest
of the job has to be done later which is exactly how we
become overwhelmed.
When you bring in the mail,
the whole job is to bring the mail in, open it, sift
through it, decipher what goes and what stays, and then
put the bills where they will be paid etc.
Begin
looking at the whole job. What does it entail? You
just might find that by not finishing the whole job, you
are actually creating the unorganization in your life.
Out of self-discipline comes order, and out of
order comes peace and harmony.
Don't
underestimate the power of peace and harmony.
Much Success,
